October 2025- Shadow Alchemy: Burning Down What Isn’t You

We’ve just walked through one of the heaviest thresholds of 2025. September was a Universal 9 month in a 9 year-the kind of alignment that only comes once in a lifetime.

Think of it as the universe double-underlining your release work. The final sweep of karmic endings. The last purge before rebirth.

You may have felt it as:

• A relationship ending or shifting.

• A job or identity dissolving.

• An emotional purge that stripped you raw.

• Or simply the deep knowing: this cannot come with me anymore.

And now, October dawns.

This month carries a Universal 1 vibration. The energy of the pioneer, the innovator, the leader. It’s not about waiting for someone else to show you the way...it’s about stepping forward, even if your voice shakes, even if you don’t know the whole plan.

October’s astrology mirrors this perfectly:

• The Aries Full Moon on October 6th burns down the masks we’ve worn. Aries demands we return to I AM—the pure essence of identity. Aries wants raw truth. It wants you stripped of excuses, stripped of masks, standing face to face with your unfiltered identity. We’re asked to meet the inner child wounds that shaped those masks in the first place.

• The Libra New Moon balances the scales. After doing the inner work, Who are you when you stand in that truth? How do you show up in relationships when you no longer abandon yourself for harmony? Libra invites us into balance, but not false balance. This is reciprocity rooted in authenticity.

This month’s theme is Shadow Alchemy.

Working with shadow doesn’t mean wallowing in darkness. It means acknowledging the parts of ourselves we’ve hidden-our anger, our jealousy, our shame, our desires-and bringing them back into the light where they can heal.

Alchemy is fire. It is transformation. It’s about integrating it all.

This month, the tools I’ll be leaning on are:

• Obsidian → the shadow mirror, revealing what you’d rather not see

• Amethyst → clarity + spiritual protection

• Carnelian → courage + sacral empowerment

• Sacral + Third Eye chakra work → to ground creativity and clear illusion

• Naming, facing, and releasing the false narratives still binding us

The tarot energy of October is the King of Swords. This is not a gentle nudge—it’s a sword of truth. He reminds us that clarity comes when we’re willing to cut away what poisons us, to speak what we’ve been swallowing, to burn down the versions of ourselves that were built on fear.

Your shadow holds the unspoken truth of who you are. The anger you weren’t allowed to express. The desire you were told was “too much.” The intuition you were conditioned to doubt.

When you reclaim these pieces, you reclaim your power.

Practices for October:

• Shadow Alchemy Mirror Ritual: Sit with a mirror. Look into your eyes. Ask: What part of me have I been denying? Breathe into what arises. Speak truth aloud.

• Cord-Cutting Visualization: Release the ties to false identities, outdated roles, or draining relationships. Feel the fire of your own soul burning through them.

• Crystal Work: Obsidian for grounding + shadow truth. Amethyst for clarity. Carnelian for courage. Place them on your Sacral or Third Eye during meditation.

Remember: September was the death. October is the spark of life after the fire.
